Description of the project ‘Visions of History’
The association ‘Un Film per la Pace’ (A Film for Peace) every year organizes the Festival ‘A Film for Peace’ with the purpose of promoting the theme of peace and justice among the new generations. Within the Festival the said association organizes a series of events regarding the project called Visions of History, which has received the support of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region.
Partners of the project are: the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Regional Council, the Regional Guarantor of Individual Rights and a network of regional Municipalities. The University of Trieste – Department of Legal Studies also cooperates with the activities of the Festival.
In the activities of the project participate Prof. Paolo Ferrari, Prof. Falcone, PhD and Prof. Rocio Luque (all professors and researchers at the University of Udine).
Within the project the following events are expected to be programmed:
GORIZIA - 10 Dicembre 2018
Multimedia lesson-conference on the theme ‘First World War and Cinema’, by Prof. Fulvio Salimbeni (professor of Contemporary History) in cooperation with (Artistic Director of A Film for Peace Festival) Dr. Enrico Cammarata, in the Aula Magna of the University of Udine, Gorizia Campus. During the event a series of short films will be shown.
LESTIZZA – April 29, 2019
Multimedia event on the theme History and Cinema, in the Auditorium at the City Hall of Lestizza. During the event a series of short films will be shown.
UDINE – May 6-7, 2019
Multimedia lesson-conference on the theme ‘Water Wars’ (importance and sustainability of water, shortage, conflicts between countries during mankind history) by Prof. Paolo Ferrari and Prof. Rocio Luque from the University of Udine, at the Gusmani Hall at Palazzo Antonini and in the conference room T9 at Palazzo Toppo Wassermann. During the event a series of short films will be shown.
Before the event a presentation and press conference on the project will be held in April in Udine.
GORIZIA – June 4, 2019
Multimedia lesson-conference on the theme ‘Cultural Heritage in War’, by Prof. Ugo Falcone, PhD, from the University of Udine, at the State Library Isontina in Gorizia. During the event a series of short films will be shown.
MEDEA – May 15, 2019
Multimedia event on the theme ‘History and Cinema’, in the Council chambers at the City Hall of Medea. During the event a series of short films will be shown.
FOGLIANO REDIPUGLIA – May 29, 2019
Multimedia lesson-conference on the theme ‘Cultural Heritage in War’, by Prof. Ugo Falcone, PhD, from the University of Udine, in the Council chambers at the City Hall of Fogliano Redipuglia. During the event a series of short films will be shown.
STOCKHOLM – June 6, 2019
Multimedia lesson-conference on the theme ‘Travel through History’, by dr. Enrico Cammarata in cooperation with the agency Smart of Stockholm.
TELFS-INNSBRUCK – June 22, 2019
Multimedia lesson-conference on the theme ‘Travel through History’, by dr. Enrico Cammarata in cooperation with the Association Ital-Network Italians in Tyrol.
